LinkedIn unveils list of buzzwords that recruiters used in 2013

LinkedIn has unveiled the first ever list of buzzwords that recruiters used heavily in their profiles in 2013. It turns out that recruiters’ favorite adjective to describe themselves is “responsible,” followed by the runner-up “strategic.”

In the order of ranking these buzzwords are: responsible, strategic, effective, organizational, expert, creative, innovation, positive, driven, dynamic.

It also found that when compared to marketers and sales people, recruiters are a lot less likely to emphasize qualities like “creative” and “competitive” and show higher preference for “exceptional” and “organizational.”

The list was prepared on the basis of LinkedIn profiles of recruiters in 14 countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Great Britain, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United States.
