Manager’s reward is linked with the score’s they get for performance, this is the new strategy that Microsoft is using to rate its managers. According to the delegates, this strategy is helping them to support tremendous growth and change. In this process just achieving excellence goals is not important, apart from this if the managers does not achieve good employee feedback, then they will not receive “execution excellence”. Theses scores are a part of performance review and linked to salary and bonuses because of which it acts as a real driver. Based on this a league of top scorers is made and those who did not perform well for them the appropriate procedures are taken care of. So, leadership, which is a very important aspect for any leader, if that is missing in any manager then they have to explain it to their bosses and improve upon it and hence resulting in better performance and leadership.
