Indian Railways employees happy with work, says survey
They may not be the best employees when it comes to delivering services but they certainly give their employer a reason to cheer. According to a survey conducted by the Indian Railways on 8255 of its staff, a majority have expressed satisfaction with their work. An astounding 99% of those responded in positive with the level of satisfaction varying from ‘highly satisfied’ to ‘average satisfied’. The survey took the views of a staff from locomotive drivers to guards and senior-level officials. It is important to note that as compared to other fellow government employees, the staffs of Indian railways often have to work under strenuous and tough conditions. Yet, when it comes to job satisfaction, they seem to be envy of the nation.
