Intelenet organizes events called ‘Friday Dhamal’ which features contests like face painting, arm wrestling, carom contests, housie, table tennis, cricket, etc. The company propagates initiatives to maintain work-life balance through mail masters, intranet, posters, flex banners, kiosks, plasma screens, etc., across all sites. Senior management also actively participates in cricket tournaments organized during the Employee Appreciation Program (EAP), which is a 2-week fun-filled event aimed at recognizing and appreciating employees.

QMastee is an employee led ‘fun@work’ initiative at Qualcomm India. As part of this initiative, employees may go bowling or for movies or get together for a game of Pictionary. Some spirited employees have even enlisted their colleagues to participate in crazy (and hilarious!) competitions like dough kneading, chakli making and cake decoration. QMastee also celebrates festivals like Diwali, Id, Christmas, etc., with other fun events. In 2009, for Christmas, the team dressed to the occasion with Santa hats and played a game of White Elephant in which participants exchanged gifts. At other times, the team also has ‘pot luck lunches’ where all members bring a special food item and everyone enjoys an excellent meal. The QLife Health Life community provides health education workshops that help employees learn about, and practice, healthy habits. QLife is also integral to the ongoing development of onsite fitness centers and recreation areas. Fitness centers, which are open 24x7, features the latest state-of-the-art fitness equipment and offer both group exercises and personal training. Some centers even offer specialized exercise classes in aerobics and yoga.
