Practitioners do not treasure talent: CIPD survey

A survey done by CIPD has found that performance management that is aligned with strategic goals is best for business. One of the messages from the survey is that performance management activities need to be more than a tick-box appraisal process; they should be positioned to align with strategic organizational goals, driving employee engagement and continuous improvement. While the survey has found examples of sophisticated and well-designed programmes that generate a high-performance culture, it’s evident that many practitioners still do not realize the full potential of performance management. CIPD will also be having a conference on the same in London which will also talk about designing, maintaining, measuring and evaluating performance management. It will also give insights into using the technique as a motivator and as a link to talent management.
