‘My core strengths are reinvention and innovation’

In her own words, this is what the ‘Are You In The List’ 2015 winner has to say about herself

Shaily Rampal Misra - Associate GM, Global Lead - Career Management Center Of Excellence (COE), HCL Technologies Ltd.

I am an HR practitioner with over 10 years of experience of having worked in multiple areas of HR. Currently, I work with HCL Technologies Ltd in New Delhi as Associate General Manager, Global Lead - Career Management Center Of Excellence (COE). The COE is responsible for designing  and implementing career management framework across the organization, development of talent pipeline for futuristic technologies, talent review for outcomes like promotion, deployment, criticality and potential identification, etc.

In my previous roles, I have worked in the areas of Performance Management, HRIT, HR Analytics & Manpower Planning and have been the HR Business Partner for industry leading business verticals in Engineering and R&D space. My areas of interest are organizational effectiveness and enabling HR through IT.

Core differentiator: Experimental approach

My approach of reinventing and innovating with a focus on the next, amidst ambiguous situations is my biggest differentiator. This can be ascertained by the success of the Career Management Process of HCL, that is social networking and crowd-sourcing-based. It has been acknowledged and awarded by various eminent bodies including the Brandon Hall Group, US; TISS – LeapVault CLO Gold Award, People Matters Leadership League Awards and has been profiled by CEB, HCLI etc.

The one thing I will:

Change in HR: Its image of being a non-strategic function

Retain in HR: Expertise in Human Capital Management

My ideas to disrupt HR:

In the current scheme of things, I think leveraging the concepts of data science and crowd-sourcing can bring quantum leaps for the HR function
