Visionary leader Dr. Pritam Singh passes away
The world of work woke up to the news of the passing of the renowned and celebrated visionary, Dr. Pritam Singh. A true legend, Dr. Singh played an unmatched role in shaping the management education and corporate management space in India. His insights and knowledge, his undying love for leadership development, and his contribution to one and all will be remembered for time and beyond.
Considered as a Guru by CEOs, HR leaders and students, professor and mentor Dr. Singh was awarded the Padma Shri by the President of India for his immense contribution in the field of management education in 2003.
An inspiring role model, he spent his entire life inspiring students, academia, corporate heads, and policymakers to enhance their excellence and impact. As the Chairman and member of several policy-making committees and bodies of the Government of India, he has stamped his perspective on policy issues that surround both management education and corporate management.

Dr. Singh worked tirelessly and innovatively to reshape management institutions such as MDI and IIM Lucknow. He was the Director of IIM Lucknow and also served as a Member of the Local Board for the Northern area of Reserve Bank Of India. He held a PhD and Masters degree in Commerce from Benares Hindu University and Masters degree in Business Administration from Indiana University, USA. Dr. Singh is the author of seven academically reputed books, three of which are award-winning. Some of his renowned books include - The Leadership Odyssey, Millennials and the Workplace, In Search of Change Maestros and Organizing and Managing in the Era of Globalization, among others.
As a consultant, Dr. Singh worked with over 200 CEOs in India and abroad, and conducted more than 100 retreats for the top management of both private and public sector organizations as well as Multinational Corporations.
Dr. Singh had a deep Indian ethos with a global outlook. With his deep understanding of Indian scriptures and its modern application, he was adept at helping leaders connect the dots and bridge the gap between thoughts and action, and thereby establishing a strong business multiplier.
