According to LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network with more than 135 million members worldwide and over 12 million members in India, the most overused buzzword in LinkedIn Profiles globally is “creative” and in India is “effective.” LinkedIn’s 2011 list of the top 10 terms that are overused by professionals in India which were determined after analyzing more than 12 million professional profiles are viz: Effective, Creative, Innovative, Dynamic, Extensive experience, Problem solving, Motivated, Track record, Communication skills, and Competitive.

 According to Hari V. Krishnan, Country Manager, LinkedIn India, members in India have realized the benefits of having a strong professional identity online to attract potential recruiters or business partners. LinkedIn data has also shown that January is among the top three months to get a promotion in India.
