ShopClues, India’s largest managed marketplace celebrated E-commerce Day in Gurgaon on 8th May 2015 in association with Droom.in, India’s leading automobile marketplace. It commemorated the day by inviting students and entrepreneurs with an interest in the country’s fastest-growing industry to get a peek into the way things work. The event was also aimed at guiding the attendees on how to make it big in this space, brimming with potential. As a bonus, they got a chance to gain valuable insights from the industry veterans like Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal, founder and CEO, Droom.in and founder of ShopClues and Mr. Sanjay Sethi CEO & co-founder.
Droom, India’s first marketplace for automobiles joined the initiative along with ShopClues to magnify the concept of e-business and its future prospective. Together, these major online players with substantial stake in the e-commerce pie shared their ideologies and their route to a successful business venture.
The E-commerce Day began at 5 PM with registrations and a preliminary introduction to ShopClues. The attendees then filled up a questionnaire that would help the company to know them better for future reference. At 6 PM, the official welcome was hosted and this was followed by the CEO’s presentation. The founders of Droom and ShopClues shared first hand experiences of their entrepreneurial journey and answered various questions asked by the attendees of the event about ecommerce industry. At 7 PM, all participants and hosts interacted in an informal meet and greet over beer and snacks. They were also encouraged to leave feedback after the conclusion of the event so that brands could tailor more such activities that appeal to the demographic profile of those who were present at the E-commerce Day celebrations.
