The first day of the three days long virtual conference, Talent Tech Evolve organized by People Matters was filled with insights, actionable tips and exposure to HR technology. Thought leaders, HR leaders and practitioners and HR technology product leaders came together and connected with the community globally sharing insights and perspectives on talent, technology, and transformation. 

The day kick-started with the panel discussion on "Deciphering the game-changing trends that will transform organizations in 2018." The session talked about the evolving business landscape that necessitates the leaders to anticipate the future needs and prepare for continuous disruption. Harmeen Mehta, Global CIO and Head of Digital Bharti Airtel along with Indranil Rao, Executive Director, Deloitte Southeast Asia, and Mukta Arya, Head of HR, SEA, Societe Generale highlighted some of the key trends related to talent and technology impacting organizations. The need to change the organizational design to keep up with the changing technology was identified. The transformation in workforce dynamics and growing demand for data science was talked about. 

The mega panel discussion was followed by a session on “CHRO imperatives to evolve their Talent Tech agenda” by Yazad Dalal, Senior Director, HCM Transformation, Applications, APAC, Oracle. He focused on the critical challenges faced by HR leaders across the globe when it comes to talent transformation. Some best ways for companies to begin the process of adopting modern HR Technology and strategies to evaluate these technologies were shared. 

Technology-enabled performance management is geared towards maximizing people development, improving individual performance, and the performance of the organization. But are performance developmental approaches effective at supporting employees adapt to change? How can you generate real-time tracking of performance? This was the theme of the third session- Cracking the code of performance management. The discussion was moderated by Vijay Gandhi - Regional Director EMEA (Korn Ferry) and the panel members; Manu Narang Wadhwa - Head - HR, India & South West Asia (The Coca-Cola Company) and Nisheeth Pathak - Head of OE (Commercial Bank of Dubai).

Brian Sommers, Founder, TechVentive,  hosted the session, “Masterclass: Defining the HR Technology Roadmap,” where he talked about the state of HR technology and how organizations should align HR technology with future technological developments and coordinate their HR strategy with business strategy.

The session was followed by a panel discussion,“Panel: From LMS to Learning Tech Stack” which talks about how LMS has moved from a "be-all end-all" system to a "middleware" application with other systems underpinning the stack and experiential interfaces taking the front-end. This panel discussion will focus on implementable learning stack approaches and how organizations can execute this.
