Irritating habits of colleagues at work: Reddit responses

Reddit, a popular Q&A website, got thousands of responses to a question posed by a user, “Office workers, why do you hate that one co-worker so much?” 

 The responses were varied, funny, descriptive, and occasionally dark. We have put together a list of the ones that were frequently repeated, and the ones that became most popular:

Using excessive cologne/deodorant: Many a users complained about the employees that go overboard with cologne, and put it quite hilariously.  

Talking on the loudspeaker; listening to loud music: The one sinner in every office that talks loudly on the phone or plays loud music was also mentioned frequently.  

The perpetual victim: The most popular comment that found resonance with a lot of users described a colleague who was manipulative, vindictive and downright spiteful. 

The Disruptors: Turns out, petty squabbles over setting the optimal temperature while working in office are a worldwide phenomenon, but what makes it worse are the colleagues who meddle with the devices. 

The Hypocrites: We all have a colleague who acts like the one mentioned by this user.

The Clingers: Colleagues who are bent on sharing every single detail of their lives, and cling to you like inseparable twins were also discussed. 

The Email shouter: Even those who inadvertently leave the caps on while writing an email were also not spared. 

The Slacker: Finally, this one user speaks about a colleague who will sound all too familiar to anyone who has ever worked in an office.
