Long-serving Airtel HR leader moves to enterprise business arm after nearly two decades with the group.

Bharti Airtel has elevated Neha S. to the role of Executive Vice President and Head of Human Resources for Airtel Business, marking a senior leadership transition within the telecom major’s enterprise-focused unit.

The appointment was announced by Neha in a LinkedIn post, where she said she was moving into the role after an 18-year career across multiple HR leadership positions within Airtel’s consumer and group businesses.

“After an incredibly rewarding 18-year journey in the B2C business at Airtel… I’m excited to share that I’m transitioning into a new phase of my career,” she wrote, adding that she would now be stepping into the role of Head of HR for Airtel Business. She described the move as “both continuity and change”, combining her long-standing focus on people and culture with new organisational challenges.

Neha first joined Bharti Airtel in January 2007 as Head of HR Operations. Over the next several years, she held a range of roles including Head of Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partner and Compensation & Benefits Specialist, before being appointed Head of HR for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in 2015.

In 2016, she moved to Bharti Enterprises, Airtel’s promoter group, where she served as General Manager – Group Human Resources and was later promoted to Vice President and Corporate Head of HR in December 2018.

She returned to Airtel in June 2021 as Head of Talent, Learning and Culture, before being promoted to Senior Vice President and Head of HR – Market Operations in September 2022. In June 2024, she assumed the role of EVP and Head of HR – Market Operations and Contractual Workforce, a position she held until December 2025.

Her elevation comes as Airtel Business continues to scale its enterprise offerings across connectivity, cloud, data centre and digital solutions, placing greater emphasis on leadership capability, talent development and organisational readiness.

Neha said the transition would involve “learning, embracing new teams, challenges and opportunities for transformation,” signalling a focus on aligning people strategy with Airtel Business’s next phase of growth.
