Former Blackstone principal Urvish Rambhia takes charge of Horizon Industrial Parks to drive its next phase of expansion across India’s logistics market.

Horizon Industrial Parks, a logistics platform owned and managed by Blackstone Real Estate funds, has appointed Urvish Rambhia as its new chief executive officer, the company announced on Thursday.

In his new role, Rambhia will lead Horizon’s operations and expansion strategy, working closely with Blackstone to accelerate long-term growth. The platform, launched in 2022, has become one of India’s largest developers and managers of grade-A industrial and logistics assets.

Asheesh Mohta, head of India real estate at Blackstone, said the appointment underscores the firm’s commitment to the logistics sector, which remains one of its strongest global investment themes.

“We are thrilled to have Urvish join Horizon Industrial Parks, where he will lead the Horizon team to deliver exceptional value to customers and partners,” Mohta said. “Logistics is one of Blackstone’s highest conviction themes globally, including in India, where we bring scale, operational expertise, and a track record of success.”

Mohta added that Blackstone has built one of the country’s largest logistics portfolios through Horizon Industrial Parks and intends to continue supporting its growth.

Rambhia joins from Blackstone, where he served as principal in the India real estate team, overseeing investments in high-growth sectors such as data centres and logistics. He has been closely involved with Horizon since its inception, giving him deep insight into its strategy and operations.

“I’ve been fortunate to have supported Horizon Industrial Parks since its inception and witnessed its growth into one of India’s largest logistics platforms,” Rambhia said. “I am honoured to lead the next phase of growth through this partnership with Blackstone and strengthen our leadership in this sector.”

Since its launch, Horizon Industrial Parks has amassed 54 million square feet of warehouse space across 42 parks in 10 key Indian markets, spanning more than 2,100 acres. Its assets are spread across major cities and emerging tier-II locations, making it a significant player in India’s logistics infrastructure build-out.

Rambhia’s appointment signals Horizon’s intent to scale up its portfolio and capture rising demand from global and domestic occupiers seeking modern logistics solutions. With Blackstone’s backing and continued sector focus, Horizon Industrial Parks is expected to play a key role in shaping India’s next phase of industrial growth.
