The senior HR appointment places Vinisha S in charge of enterprise-wide talent frameworks and strategic people programmes.

Capgemini has appointed Vinisha S as its new HR Head – Talent Management and Strategic Initiatives, strengthening its senior people leadership as the company sharpens focus on enterprise-wide talent development.

The appointment was announced on 28 January and confirmed by Vinisha through a LinkedIn post. In the role, she will oversee company-wide talent programmes and strategic HR initiatives, operating at an enterprise level rather than within a specific business unit or geography.

Vinisha’s mandate covers leadership development, succession planning and employee capability frameworks, alongside broader organisational development initiatives. The role is designed to ensure consistency in talent and people processes across Capgemini’s global operations.

Unlike regional HR positions, the role focuses on governance, programme design and alignment of talent strategy with organisational priorities. Execution will continue to be handled by regional and functional HR teams.

Experience and background

Vinisha brings over two decades of HR experience to Capgemini. Prior to this appointment, she spent more than 11 years at Hexaware Technologies, most recently as assistant vice-president and cluster HR head, where she led people strategy across defined business clusters.

Her earlier career includes HR leadership roles at Ashok Piramal Group and Mahindra & Mahindra – Bristlecone India, giving her exposure to both industrial and technology-led organisations.

She holds a postgraduate degree in business management with a specialisation in human resources from Mumbai University.

Capgemini, headquartered in France, operates across consulting, technology, engineering and digital services, with a large workforce spread across multiple geographies, including India. As global technology services firms scale and diversify, senior HR roles focused on enterprise-level frameworks have become increasingly central to leadership structures.

Vinisha’s appointment comes as Capgemini continues to invest in talent systems to support growth across service lines and regions. The focus of the role, centred on strategy rather than day-to-day operations, underlines the company’s emphasis on long-term workforce planning and leadership development.
