Cleartrip appoints Manoj Sharma as CTO

The technology veteran with over 20 years of experience has been appointed as the CTO by Cleartrip.

Manoj Sharma, the former executive at Quikr, has been appointed by Cleartrip has its Chief Technology Officer. According to the media reports, the online travel and hotel booking company, which competes with Yatra.com and MakeMyTrip.com is focusing on introducing greater automation, deploying machine learning and AI driven solutions and developing value driven system to further its evolution.

Manoj Sharma is an electrical engineer and has worked in organizations like Zynga, MySpace, Valyoo Technologies (Lenskart). He was working with Quickr as the CTO. Throughout his career he has had varied experience in helping engineering teams in improving their performance and also implementing the technological infrastructure required in the company.

"I am delighted to join the stellar team at Cleartrip and look forward to working with the team to take the journey of building innovative technology platforms that delight consumers forward. At Cleartrip, I am looking at investing resources towards increasing sales and optimizing user experience to provide a cutting-edge experience to Cleartrip customers.” Sharma has said in the statement.

Apparently, Sharma’s appointment will be critical to enhancing the user experience for Cleartrip’s customers. His work will be driven towards developing ultra-efficient, reliable and relevant metrics-focused solutions for enhancing the experience.
