US-based IT services firm Ensono appoints former Amazon leader Shweta Sharma to scale hiring and workforce transformation in India.

US-headquartered IT services firm Ensono has appointed Shweta Sharma as senior director, talent acquisition, for its India operations, as the company steps up its expansion across the country.

The appointment comes at a time when global technology services firms are recalibrating hiring strategies in India to balance scale, specialised skills and cost pressures. Ensono said Sharma will lead its talent acquisition agenda as it builds capacity across key delivery centres.

Sharma joins Ensono from Amazon, where she led talent acquisition for multiple Stores Tech business lines. In that role, she worked closely with senior leadership to build recruiting teams and support large-scale technology hiring, the company said.

“We are thrilled to welcome Shweta Sharma to Ensono India,” Veena Khandke, senior vice-president and managing director, Ensono India, said. “Her experience in scaling talent acquisition strategies and embedding diversity and inclusion aligns with our vision of building a future-ready workforce.”

With over 18 years of experience across global technology, banking and product organisations, Sharma is known for leading large recruitment transformations. At Ensono, she will be responsible for redesigning the talent acquisition function, with a focus on scalability, diversity and the use of technology in hiring.

Robin Monical, vice-president, talent acquisition at Ensono, said Sharma’s background in combining technology with human-centred leadership would be critical as the firm navigates a tightening and more complex talent market. “Her ability to integrate AI-driven solutions into recruitment will help us stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape,” Monical said.

Sharma has previously worked on strengthening employer branding and embedding diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging into end-to-end hiring processes, according to the company. She has also piloted the use of generative AI in areas such as sourcing, workforce planning and recruitment marketing to improve speed and decision-making.

Ensono, headquartered in the greater Chicago area, employs more than 4,000 people globally. In India, it operates out of Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru. The company provides consulting, cloud, application modernisation and managed services to enterprise clients, and has identified India as a key growth market as demand rises for hybrid and cloud-led technology transformation.
