Ex Uber Chief People Officer joins Palo Alto Networks

It can be recalled that Liane Hornsey resigned from Uber in July following an investigation into how she handled allegations of racial discrimination at the ride-hailing firm.
Ex Uber Chief People Officer joins Palo Alto Networks

Ex Uber Chief People Officer, Liane Hornsey has joined the cybersecurity company Palo Alto Networks as their EVP and Chief People Officer. 

Confirming her appointment to the media, a spokesperson said that the company is happy to get her on board. Hornsey has worked with Nikesh Arora, the current CEO of Palo Alto Networks in her previous stints at Soft Bank and Google where she was Chief Administrative Officer and VP, Global Sales respectively and Nikesh Arora was the President at Softbank and CBO at Google. 

Arora joined Palo Alto in June 2018 as the CEO of the company. 

It can be recalled that Liane Hornsey resigned from Uber in July following an investigation into how she handled allegations of racial discrimination at the ride-hailing firm. Hornsey was head of Uber's human resources department and one of the firm's top spokespeople on diversity and discrimination issues. She had been in the role for about 18 months having joined in January 2017.

Hornsey is an industry veteran and worked with multinational companies across the globe. She has worked in different sectors such as technology, music and media and banking. Before joining Palo Alto, she was working with Uber as SVP and Chief People Officer. 

Palo Alto Networks is a decade-old cyber-security giant which currently serves 50,000 companies globally, with an employee base of around 5,000 people.
