Granules India names Vinodkumar Parur as CHRO following Atul Dhavle’s resignation, marking a key shift in the pharmaceutical company’s senior leadership team.

Granules India has appointed Vinodkumar Parur as its new chief human resources officer, effective 17 November 2025, following the resignation of outgoing CHRO Atul Dhavle, the company announced.

Dhavle, who stepped down on 16 November 2025, will continue to serve during his notice period to ensure a smooth transition at the Hyderabad-headquartered pharmaceutical group. The company said Parur will also be designated as part of its senior management personnel.

Parur brings more than 24 years of HR leadership experience across manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceuticals and infrastructure. His background includes steering HR functions during IPO preparations, managing mergers and acquisitions, implementing HRMS platforms and driving leadership development and employee engagement programmes.

Before joining Granules India, Parur served as CHRO at RR Kabel Limited and Nilkamal Limited. He has also held senior HR roles at A.T.E. Group and Schindler India. He holds a master’s degree in management studies with a specialisation in human resources from PIMSR, Mumbai University, and a bachelor’s degree in commerce and economics from NMIMS under Mumbai University. He is certified across several HR assessment and training programmes and sits on advisory and academic boards.

Granules India, incorporated in 1991, is one of the few pharmaceutical companies globally with a presence across the entire manufacturing value chain — from active pharmaceutical ingredients to formulation intermediates and finished dosages. The company supplies more than 300 customers across regulated and semi-regulated markets in over 80 countries. It operates 10 manufacturing facilities, eight in India and two in the United States, with regulatory approvals from agencies including the US FDA, EU GMP, WHO GMP and TGA.

The appointment underscores the growing role of HR in supporting complex, globally connected pharmaceutical operations. Parur’s cross-sector experience is expected to be central to Granules India’s efforts to strengthen its talent pipeline and organisational capabilities as it scales its global footprint.

The company has not indicated further leadership changes but said the transition will support its long-term growth plans across international markets.
