Heritage Foods appoints Amit Vijay Shetty Vice President & CHRO

Heritage Foods has appointed Amit Vijay Shetty as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, the company said in a statement. His appointment took effect on 1 October.

The dairy company said Shetty will be based at its corporate office in Hyderabad and will report directly to chief executive officer Srideep Kesavan.

According to the statement, Shetty will drive initiatives to strengthen organisational capabilities and support a high-performance culture.

Career background

Before joining Heritage Foods, Shetty was General Manager and Head – Human Resources of the Consumer Business vertical at Frigorifico Allana, the company said.

He has nearly 20 years of experience in human resources, having worked with IFFCO, Allana Group, LafargeHolcim, Nivea India and Tata Chemicals, according to the company.

Heritage Foods said Shetty holds a Master’s in Management Studies with a specialisation in Human Resources from Chetna’s RK Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation from the University of Mumbai.

Heritage Foods, founded in 1992, is a dairy company with operations in milk procurement, processing and distribution. It also has interests in renewable energy, according to its corporate filings.

The company reported that as of the end of 2024 it employed more than 3,000 people across its businesses.

Heritage Foods said Shetty’s appointment is part of its management structure to support business operations.
