Financial services firm InCred Capital has announced the appointment of three senior executives to its leadership team in investment banking.

The firm has hired Akbar Khan as Chairman; Advisory, Anjani Kumar as Chairman; Client Coverage and Mahesh Prasad as Managing Director.  With the addition of these senior executives, InCred Capital aims to bolster its investment banking team further, ramp up deal origination and expand its presence across more sectors.

Akbar brings with him more than 20 years of experience in investment banking, corporate M&A, consumer and corporate finance, and fintech. He has held senior positions with leading financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch, GE, and PwC, and has deep expertise in sell-side advisory, buy-side acquisitions, and business management.

Anjani has over 27 years of banking experience spanning M&A, Capital Markets, and Corporate Finance. He has led the investment banking teams for CIMB and RBS in India and joined InCred with significant domain experience in infrastructure, energy & renewables, industrials, healthcare and technology. 

Anjani started his investment banking career with PwC Corporate Finance, followed by ABN AMRO, RBS, CIMB, and o3 Capital. He has also worked overseas in London and HK for over 5 years. Most recently, Anjani was the founder and CEO at Asialink Advisors, a niche advisory outfit focused on cross-border M&A and fundraising.

Mahesh Prasad is a career investment banker with over 30 years of experience. He has joined as a Managing Director in Bangalore to further grow the firm’s class-leading Pharma advisory practice. Prasad has previously worked with Ernst & Young leading their Pharma practice and has also run his boutique firm, Genesis Management Consultancy, for two decades.
