IndusInd appoints Amitabh Singh as new CHRO

Singh succeeds Zubin Mody, who stepped down from the CHRO role in July this year after more than 20 years with the bank.
IndusInd Bank, a leading private sector lender, has announced the appointment of Amitabh Kumar Singh as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective November 10, 2025.
In a regulatory filing to the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the bank stated, “Mr. Amitabh Kumar Singh has joined the Bank with effect from today as Chief Human Resources Officer and part of Senior Management Personnel of the Bank.”
Singh brings over two decades of HR leadership experience across banking, insurance, and technology sectors. He succeeds Zubin Mody, who stepped down from the role in July this year after more than 20 years with the bank.
Before joining IndusInd, Singh served as CHRO at ICICI Home Finance, part of the ICICI Group, where he spent over 20 years in various leadership roles, including stints with ICICI Bank and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. His earlier experience includes HR leadership roles at Mphasis, Tata Interactive Systems, Atos, and Larsen & Toubro.
An alumnus of the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, Singh holds a postgraduate degree in Human Resources and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi.
His appointment comes as part of a broader leadership restructuring at IndusInd Bank.
The lender has recently bolstered its leadership team, with appointment of Viral Damania as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Pragati Gondhalekar as Head of Internal Audit, Pankaj Sharma as Head of Business Transformation, Anand Vardhan as General Counsel, and Sheran Mehra as Chief Marketing Officer.
These appointments reflect IndusInd Bank’s focus on strengthening its leadership bench and driving growth across key business segments.
