The former EY and ANSR HR leader takes charge of the people agenda at Lufthansa Systems India as it strengthens its India operations.

Lufthansa Systems India has appointed Ranjan Saxena as Head of Human Resources, marking a senior leadership addition as the aviation technology firm sharpens its focus on talent, engagement and organisational capability in India.

Saxena announced the move in a LinkedIn post, confirming that he has taken over responsibility for leading the HR function for Lufthansa Systems India. He will oversee workforce strategy, recruitment, capability development and employee experience across the India entity.

“I have started a new role as Head of HR at Lufthansa Systems India,” Saxena said, adding that he looks forward to collaborating with teams across the organisation to build strong relationships and support growth.

Experience across consulting and GCCs

Saxena joins Lufthansa Systems India from EY, where he served as Senior Manager – People Consulting, leading talent design and activation programmes for Fortune 100 global capability centre (GCC) clients. His work focused on aligning talent strategies with business scale-up and operational maturity.

Before EY, Saxena was Associate Director and Head of HR at ANSR, where he supported Fortune 500 companies in setting up and operating GCCs in India, while also managing internal HR priorities for the firm. Earlier roles include senior HR leadership positions at AtkinsRéalis and American Tower, spanning HR business partnering, shared services, transformation initiatives and regional HR leadership.

Saxena brings close to 15 years of HR experience, spanning consulting and industry roles across India, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. His expertise covers HR business partnering, performance management, learning and development, HR operations, analytics and large-scale hiring.

Thanking colleagues involved in the transition, Saxena acknowledged the recruitment and onboarding teams for their support and said he would build on the learning and relationships developed during his tenure at EY.

Lufthansa Systems India plays a critical role in the group’s global delivery model, supporting airline customers with IT solutions across operations, planning and digital platforms. As aviation technology firms compete for specialised talent, leadership continuity and people strategy have become central to sustaining delivery and innovation.

Industry observers, cited by the Wall Street Journal in recent coverage of global aviation IT providers, note that talent availability and engagement are emerging as key differentiators as airlines accelerate digital transformation.

As Head of HR, Saxena is expected to focus on strengthening talent pipelines, reinforcing culture and supporting business growth at Lufthansa Systems India. His appointment reflects a broader trend of aviation and travel technology firms investing in senior HR leadership to align people strategy with long-term expansion plans.
