NetApp appoints Ranjit Kumar Singh as Site HR Leader for India

The data infrastructure firm names a senior HR leader to steer people strategy and HR business partnering in India.

NetApp has appointed Ranjit Kumar Singh as Site HR Leader for India and Senior Director – HR Business Partnering, strengthening its people leadership as the company expands its India operations.


The intelligent data infrastructure company said Singh will lead the HR strategy for NetApp’s India sites while also driving global HR business partnering initiatives aligned with the company’s long-term growth agenda.

Singh brings more than 19 years of executive and HR leadership experience across technology, pharmaceuticals and infrastructure. 


He has held senior roles at VMware, Solara Active Pharma, Allergan, Sapient, Oracle and GMR Group, and most recently served as Director of HR for India and sub-continent countries at Zebra Technologies.


Vasanti Ramesh, Vice President and Engineering Head at NetApp India, said the appointment would support the company’s ambition to deepen its India presence. “Ranjit’s experience in shaping people strategy and leading organisational transformation will be critical as we continue to build a culture that supports innovation, agility and growth,” she said.


Singh said he was joining NetApp at a pivotal moment for the technology industry. “I look forward to partnering with leaders and teams to strengthen NetApp’s people-first culture and deliver talent strategies that support growth in India and globally,” he said.


Singh holds a postgraduate diploma in personnel management from the Xavier Institute of Social Services, Ranchi. NetApp said the appointment underscores its focus on developing inclusive, future-ready workplaces as demand for data and AI-driven solutions accelerates.
