As PNB Housing Finance transitions to new leadership, Executive Director Jatul Anand takes charge temporarily while the board awaits regulatory approval for a new MD and CEO.

PNB Housing Finance has kicked off a major leadership transition, announcing that Girish Kousgi has stepped down as Managing Director and CEO. His resignation, which the board accepted back in July, officially took effect on October 28, 2025.

To keep things steady at the top, the company has immediately appointed Jatul Anand, currently an Executive Director, to lead the business on an interim basis. Anand will be steering the management team while working closely under the guidance of Board Chairman, D Surendran. Kousgi will also be leaving the boards of the firm's subsidiaries, PHFL Home Loans and PEHEL Foundation.

The company is now deep into the process of getting the required approvals from regulators for a permanent new MD and CEO. We can expect an announcement once that whole official procedure wraps up.

This change comes at a very interesting time because, despite the management shake-up, PNB Housing Finance is performing well. The company recently shared impressive quarterly results, seeing its profit climb by a strong 24% year-on-year, hitting ₹582.00 crore.

The stock market seemed to take the news calmly, with shares of PNB Housing Finance closing slightly up at ₹937.00 on the NSE right after the news broke.

The leadership change comes at an important time for PNB Housing Finance. The company continues to focus on steady growth, customer confidence, and maintaining its position in a competitive housing finance market.
