redBus appoints Divya Amarnath as VP and HR head

The MakeMyTrip Group-owned bus ticketing platform strengthens leadership as it scales across markets and businesses.
redBus has appointed Divya Amarnath as vice president and head of human resources, marking a leadership move as the online bus ticketing platform sharpens its people strategy amid continued expansion.
The appointment, announced by the company, places Amarnath in charge of the full human resources mandate across redBus and its allied businesses, including Bitla and Savaari. Her responsibilities will span talent strategy, organisational design, culture building and employee experience.
Amarnath brings more than two decades of experience across consumer internet, manufacturing and global organisations. She has previously held senior HR leadership roles at Flipkart, Lenskart and Godrej Industries Group, where she worked on workforce transformation, leadership development and large-scale people operations, the company said.
Earlier in her career, she was associated with Unilever, contributing to HR service delivery and transformation initiatives.
Her appointment comes as redBus, part of the MakeMyTrip Group, continues to scale its operations across India and international markets. The company said the expanded HR leadership focus reflects the need to align workforce priorities with business growth, digital expansion and evolving employee expectations.
As competition intensifies across digital travel and mobility platforms, redBus is expected to place greater emphasis on organisational capability, leadership depth and talent retention to support its next phase of growth.
