Siemens appoints global HR leader Sabine Schneider to lead people function

Siemens names global HR leader Sabine Schneider to steer people strategy as the company expands across high-growth, technology-driven sectors.
Siemens India has appointed Sabine Schneider as its new Head of People and Organisation, with effect from 1 January 2026. The company said the leadership shift comes at a time when it is strengthening its talent capabilities to support expansion in digitalisation, energy transition and advanced manufacturing.
Schneider has held senior human-resources and organisational development roles across multiple regions during her career. Her portfolio includes leadership enablement, global mobility, culture-building initiatives and future-skills planning. She has worked closely with business units on embedding workforce frameworks designed to support scaling operations — experience she developed both within Siemens and in earlier roles in Europe and Asia.
In her new mandate, Schneider will oversee Siemens India’s people strategy, capability development programmes and employee-experience architecture. She will also guide the organisation’s transformation agenda as the company increases its presence in high-growth industrial and technology sectors.
The company said the appointment reflects its intention to elevate HR as a strategic lever in business planning, ensuring people decisions align with operational priorities and long-term growth. Schneider said India offers an opportunity to apply global best practices in a fast-evolving talent market and emphasised her focus on building an agile, inclusive and future-ready organisation.
Her appointment follows broader management changes within Siemens, underscoring the company’s effort to deepen leadership capacity and reinforce the role of HR in shaping its next phase of expansion.
