Sheryl Sandberg to step down from Facebook parent Meta after 14 years

After 14 years as the chief operating officer of Facebook's parent company Meta, Sheryl Sandberg is stepping down, a huge shake-up that will see chief executive Mark Zuckerberg lose one of his closest lieutenants. Sandberg announced her resignation as chief operating officer on her Facebook page, although she will continue on the board of Meta, the firm's parent company.

Unilever to add activist investor Nelson Peltz to Board

Unilever said that activist investor Nelson Peltz will join its board of directors, adding that his Trian Fund Management LP owns a 1.5% stake in the company. Nelson Peltz’s appointments as a non-executive director and as a member of its compensation committee are expected to be confirmed on or before 20 July 2022, subject to receipt of any required regulatory approvals.

ASSOCHAM appoints SAP's Kulmeet Bawa as chairman of its IT council

ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India) has named Kulmeet Bawa, President and MD, SAP Indian Subcontinent, as the Chairman of ASSOCHAM’s National Council on IT & ITEs & Digital Commerce. Under Kulmeet’s leadership, the council will work together to further strengthen the industry’s global competitiveness and foster its diverse array of priorities that will help foster India’s inclusive and long-term socio-economic growth.

Mercedes-Benz India appoints Vyankatesh Kulkarni as ED & Head of Operations

Mercedes-Benz India has announced the appointment of Vyankatesh Kulkarni as Executive Director and Head of Operations, effective June 1. In the new role, he will lead the luxury carmaker’s journey towards electrification. Kulkarni is a Mechanical Engineer and pursued Data Science from IIM, Lucknow. Prior to Mercedes Benz India, he also worked for Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki India.
