Hindustan Unilever reshapes its top leadership for 2026, promoting Vandana Suri to head Home Care and naming Srinandan Sundaram CEO of Unilever International.

Hindustan Unilever has announced two senior leadership changes, appointing Vandana Suri as executive director for Home Care and promoting Srinandan Sundaram as chief executive of Unilever International. The company said the appointments will take effect on 1 January 2026.

Suri, who previously oversaw HUL’s premium laundry portfolio, will join the HUL Management Committee and take charge of one of the company’s largest divisions. She has held leadership roles across beauty and wellbeing in India and Indonesia, where she led category expansion and premiumisation initiatives. Her return to Home Care marks a strategic shift as HUL seeks to reinforce its position in a highly competitive segment of the fast-moving consumer goods market.

Sundaram, currently executive director for Home Care and head of digital marketing, media and commerce, will move into the global role of CEO, Unilever International. His tenure at HUL has included a wide remit spanning Home Care, Ice Cream, Tea and Health Food Drinks. He is credited with transforming the Home Care portfolio, extending brands such as Vim into adjacent cleaning categories, and integrating new acquisitions into the company’s broader portfolio.

Priya Nair, chief executive and managing director of HUL, said Sundaram had made “an immense contribution” since joining the firm as a management trainee. She noted his leadership had delivered sustained growth and market share gains in Home Care. On Suri’s appointment, Nair said her deep understanding of consumers and markets, together with her experience leading multicultural teams, would help “take the Home Care business to even greater heights”.

The twin moves highlight HUL’s intent to consolidate its domestic leadership bench while aligning senior talent with global growth plans. Strengthening the Home Care division remains a priority for the company, while Unilever International offers expanded commercial opportunities across emerging markets.

Both appointments underscore the increasing mobility of senior executives within the Unilever group as it positions itself for the next phase of brand expansion, category innovation and digital-led growth.
