New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi kept his Independence Day promise of doing away with interviews for lower rank jobs when he announced on Sunday that the process will be discontinued for all central government posts belonging to the Group B, C and D categories from January, 2016, to prevent middlemen from exploiting weaker sections applying for these vacancies by guarantying them jobs in lieu of money.
