The board of Axiscades has appointed Mritunjay Singh as the new CEO of the company. And he shall begin his work from January 2, 2018. 

Sudhakar Gande, vice-chairman of Axiscades informed media that Mritunjay was chosen to lead the business unanimously by the board.  His background and experience of managing large operations and businesses at Infosys and leading growth in his last position at Persistent made him an obvious choice. 

Sudhakar believes that the company is in an exciting phase of growth and has a tremendous opportunity in creating synergies between Engineering and Automation/IoT. And Mritunjay has the right credentials to steer the company in this new phase. 

"With the selection of CEO, we have completed the process for the next growth phase of the company," said Sudhakar Gande, vice-chairman of Axiscades. "Singh will lead Industry 4.0 technology initiatives of the company that focuses on aerospace and defense". 

Up until November Mritunjay Singh was leading the business for Persistent Services Business as the Executive Director and President. 

At the time of his resignation this is what the Chairman and Managing Director, Anand Deshpande told media:

"He has been an integral part of the growth of the company over these years. On behalf of the board and all employees, I would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

In his role as COO of Infosys Mritunjay Singh has been responsible for operations across products, platforms, and services. And now he is looking forward to the new phase. 

"I am extremely excited about our opportunities in Aerospace and Defence sector. Looking forward to building a new age engineering technology powerhouse that we all can be proud of," said Mritunjay Singh on his appointment.

Before Persistent, Mritunjay Singh has headed Financial Services application services Delivery and Pune Development center for Infosys. He has gained experience by working in companies like Kanbay and Tata Steel. 

He is an alumnus of IIT BHU from where he completed his B.Tech in Electronics and Communications.
