After working with the beverage company for eighteen months, Seema Nair decided to move on. She was serving as the SVP and CHRO, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages based in Bengaluru and she has resigned ending her short stint with the US-based company. 

Kamlesh Kumar Sharma, Chief Communications Officer at the Coca-Cola Beverages, wrote a blog on the company’s website sharing his experience with Seema. 

In the blog, he asked Seema about her decision of leaving the company and she replied, “I am not getting any younger. My children are grown-up and pretty much independent, pursuing their academic interests. My husband is a successful entrepreneur and I have a flourishing career. Nevertheless, I was continuously asking myself if I wanted to lead this beautiful life away from my family members, on both sides, or if I should be with them, when they will need us the most. My husband and I spoke about it and each time, our conversations veered towards - family first. That meant a change in city. So I took the call.”

In the blog, Sharma mentioned about Seema’s work and how she championed the project of having 40% women employees in their Gujarat plant. 

Seema started her journey with Coca-Cola in January 2017 where she joined the company as Executive Director, HR. She succeeded Gaurav Chaturvedi, who took over as the Chief Executive Officer, Coca-Cola Pinya Beverages.

She is an industry veteran in the HR industry and worked with companies such as Cisco, Intel and Hughes Software. Before joining Coca-Cola she was working with Cisco as Director and CHRO, where she was responsible for HR business of countries such as India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
