Anshu Jain, the former Deutsche Bank AG co-chief executive officer, has joined New York-based investment banking and brokerage firm Cantor Fitzgerald (CFLP) as president.

Working with Howard W Lutnick, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CFLP, Jain will build on Cantor Fitzgerald’s strong client-focused business foundation and drive the Firm’s momentum as it enters the next phase of growth.

He will be based in CFLP's headquarters in New York.

Excited with his joining, Lutnick said,

In one of his statement, Jain praised Lutnick’s leadership stating,

Jain joined Deutsche Bank in 1995 and rose to lead a corporate and investment banking division that produced most of the company’s revenue. He then became the co-CEO of Deutsche Bank in 2012 till 2015. He helped build Deutsche Bank into Europe’s biggest securities firm over two decades before stepping down in June 2015 as profitability suffered amid a trading slump, stiffer regulation and years of government probes.
