Former Twitter India head Jaitly joins Times Global Partners as CEO

Barely two weeks after announcing his exit from Twitter, Rishi Jaitly has joined Times Global Partners, as its CEO. Jaitly had quit Twitter earlier this month as Vice-President, Asia Pacific & Middle East North Africa after a four-year stint in the former company.  In his current role, he will be heading the US based business division of Times Internet Limited, the digital business arm of Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited as CEO. 

As the CEO, he will be responsible for managing various strategic partnerships Times Internet has inked with companies including Uber, Airbnb, Coursera, Vice, Huffington Post, apart from Willow TV. 

Jaitly, a graduate of Princeton University, was a member of Google’s original India management team, helping build the India business, while also leading strategic partnerships and public affairs for the company in South Asia. 

In a series of tweets, he said,

‘I’m looking forward to bridging the best ideas from the world's entrepreneurial centers into India and to sharing insights back to the world. At Times Global, we'll invest in & partner with world-class tech/media companies to help them realize their India opportunity more fully”.

Times Internet is the largest Indian Internet Network and the digital venture of Times of India, India’s largest media and entertainment conglomerate. As per Google analytics, it reaches over 150m visitors and serves 2 billion page views every month across web and mobile.
