HR should innovate new approaches for new generation

In order to keep pace with change wherein the way one works is getting redefined, it has become all the more important that HR too realigns and redefines itself. HR as a function needs to view itself from the outside in, rather than be focused on internal policies and strategies. Only then will it be more relevant for a firm's customers and also help top leadership achieve key objectives. HR needs to create an architecture of how a company can be successful commercially as well as socially. A good HR system in a company should ideally make an employee feel enabled and empowered to make a difference.

As a matter of fact companies that don’t adapt and change are less likely to succeed. In fact when companies learn to adapt to the outside world, that's how they will survive. HR should constantly redefine talent as well as constantly redefine the culture and pattern of work within the company.
