L’Oréal India Pvt. Ltd announced a top-level management recast on Wednesday, the latest among at least half a dozen consumer packaged goods companies that have made changes to its senior echelons since the beginning of the year on the back of sluggish economic growth that has crimped discretionary spending, Mint reported.

Last week, Mondelez International Inc. and Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) announced top-level changes. Earlier in the year, PepsiCo India, Nestle India Ltd, Britannia Industries Ltd and CavinKare Pvt. Ltd effected senior management changes. L’Oréal India announced the appointment of Jean-Christophe Letellier as its new managing director to replace Pierre-Yves Arzel, who becomes managing director of the South Asia Pacific region. The changes will be effective from 1 August.
