Joris Dierckx takes over as BNP Paribas India CEO

Dierckx takes over from Jacques Michel, who will relocate to Bahrain as BNP’s head of corporate and institutional banking for the Middle East and Africa.
BNP Paribas SA, France’s largest lender with $2.51 trillion in assets, on Thursday said it had appointed Joris Dierckx as India country head and chief executive for India effective from 1 July. Dierckx takes over from Jacques Michel, who will relocate to Bahrain as BNP’s head of corporate and institutional banking for the Middle East and Africa. Michel had been leading the bank in India since 2009.
