Mindtree appoints Suresh Bethavandu as Chief People Officer

Mindtree appoints Suresh Bethavandu as Chief People Officer

Former Cognizant Executive Suresh Bethavandu replaces Paneesh Rao as Mindtree's Chief People Officer, effective 1st December, 2021. 

Paneesh takes on a new role of Global Head of Sustainability (E.S.G) at Mindtree. 

Suresh comes with 30 years of experience in human resources. He has worked with companies like Cognizant and Wipro in a variety of roles, including talent acquisition, talent supply chain and corporate HR. 

In his most recent role at Cognizant, Suresh was heading the global talent acquisition function for key markets including North America, Latin America, Europe, India and the Asia Pacific. He describes himself as strong advocate for diversity and inclusion. 

Suresh left Cognizant in September 2021, after working with the company for more than 24 years and joined the long list of leaders to quit the firm and join other tech leaders like L&T Infotech, Mindtree, and Wipro. 

At Mindtree, Suresh will be responsible for all key dimensions of the talent lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, compensation, operations, learning and development, workforce planning and resource management.
