Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced a boardroom reshuffle, as Nita Ambani steps down from her position.  Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani, and Anant Ambani have been nominated as Non-Executive Directors of the company.

These appointments, subject to shareholder approval, will be effective from the day they officially assume office, according to a company statement. 

The Board of Directors also accepted the resignation of Nita Ambani from the Board respecting her decision to devote her energies and time to guide and enable Reliance Foundation to make even greater impact for India.

As the Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani will attend all the RIL Board meetings as a permanent invitee to the Board so that the Company can continue to benefit from her advice.

The trio of Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani, and Anant Ambani have been integral to RIL's operations, overseeing key sectors such as retail, digital services, energy, and materials.

Their leadership extends to the boards of vital RIL subsidiaries. Their addition to the RIL Board is anticipated to inject fresh perspectives and innovative ideas, as RIL continues to evolve and adapt to dynamic market conditions, the statement added.
