Radix, the domain registry firm, has appointed Sandeep Ramchandani as its new global CEO. It further looks forward to growing by around 25 percent and expects to cross INR 100 crores in 2018.

Sandeep Ramchandani has been a part of Radix since its inception and has previously worked as VP and Business Head. He has been an integral part of the firm in the whole journey since 2003 and has worked with them across various businesses.

Appreciating Sandeep's work, one of the founders of Radix, Bhavin Turakhia, said, “We are pleased to elevate Sandeep to the position of CEO at Radix. Through the years, Sandeep has consistently built talented teams, delivered business results, and demonstrated exceptional leadership. He has also evolved into a well-respected thought leader within the industry. We remain extremely bullish about the future opportunities in the domains space, and are confident that Sandeep will scale the business rapidly.”

Prior to Radix, Sandeep has worked with LogicBoxes, an enterprise consulting business, which was one of the businesses acquired by Endurance International Group in 2014. He has pursued bachelor management studies with a specialization in marketing from Jai Hind College.

Speaking about the scope of new domain extensions in India, Sandeep Ramchandani, CEO, Radix, said, “Currently, there are 460 million internet users in India, second only to China. By 2021, this number is expected to be 635.8 million. India is the 3rd largest startup ecosystem in the world and has 42.50 million SMEs but the domain penetration rate in India is 1.1%, compared to  3.6% in China and 43.6% in the US. This gap will soon begin to close and the demand for websites, professional email addresses, and consequently, domains names, will grow at an even faster pace. Through major retailers like GoDaddy and BigRock, Radix is well positioned to serve this need.”

Radix founded by serial entrepreneurs Bhavin and Divyank Turakhia has over 30 lakh domain names sold to users around the world. As per a report by Zinnov, the domain name industry in India has grown by a CAGR of 11.9% during the period June 2013 - June 2016, as compared to 8.7% globally.
