Sanjiv Puri made executive director as ITC promotes its ‘next-gen’
Kolkata: ITC Ltd, a company with interests in consumer packaged goods, cigarettes and hospitality, on Wednesday announced that Sanjiv Puri, 53, the president of its packaged goods business, will take charge as executive director from 6 December, replacing P.V. Dhobale (59) who is set to retire, lending credence to speculation that he may succeed chairman Y.C. Deveshwar, whose current term ends in 2017, although the company’s board could ask him to stay on.
