Takashi Kikuchi has been appointed Isuzu Motors India Pvt. Ltd managing director, the company said in a statement. Kikuchi will be based at the company’s headquarters in Chennai, Mint reported. Kikuchi has been associated with Isuzu for more than 30 years.

Isuzu Motors India announced its plans to set up a light commercial vehicle manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh in March. The company plans to invest Rs.1,500 crore over five to seven years in the plant, which will have a capacity of 1.2 lakh units per annum.
