Bengaluru-based online fashion hub has roped in Himmat Singh Padode as its chief data scientist. This move is a part of the firm’s strategic planning to strengthen its analytics platform.
Before joining Voonik, Padode was working with Groupon, a Chicago-based deal provider where he was spearheading the company’s international data team from is Silicon Valley office.
Padode will report to Voonik's chief executive Sujayath Ali.
Excited with the new appointment, Ali said,
As we grow and diversify, we want to get more precise on our personalisation model and add layers and habits into the algorithm to show a highly personalised feed”.
He comes with 14 years of experience in data science and insights across companies including Essar and Religare with hands-on experience in data driven personalisation and prediction models.
Voonik has also been revamping its top-deck of late and has appointed Prabhakar Sunder, former finance head of fashion etailer Myntra as its chief financial officer and Amazon executive Raghu Lakkapragada as chief operating officer.
