Rajendra Mehta joins Welspun India as the President, CHRO on 18th May 2020. As the new HR head he will oversee the HR function of all WIL subsidiary companies Welspun Advanced Textiles, Welspun Retails Welspun Floorings and Welspun Global Brands Limited.

Mehta started his career in the field of HR with KEC International and since then has worked in different companies like Larsen & Toubro, The Times of India Group, VNL, and Zee Entertainment.

About seven months back, he had joined Synergy Capital as Executive Director and Chief People Officer. Prior to that he was working as Chief People Officer at DHFL since October 2016.

In his previous roles, Mehta has been recognized for implementing world-class practices and leading transformarion journey for organizations into high-performing and profitable entities.

Now in his new role he has to spearhead growth journey for all WIL subsidiary companies. Mehta joins a Welspun India during a challenging phase, when the entire world is dealing with the pandemic and its impact on economy and work. Currently, the role of HR leaders has become critical with employee safety and well-being being top priorities for all organizations. Managing remote working, the transition into a new physical/digital hybrid workplace, complying with all guidelines at workplaces and factories, and keeping employee experience in check, would be some of the key priorities for Mehta, like many other HR leaders across sectors.
