JBIMS clocks highest stipend of Rs 2 lakhs in summer placement

Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) concluded its summer placements for the first year students of MMS course (2013-2015) with an average domestic stipend of Rs 97,000 and highest stipend of Rs 2 lakhs, Economic Times reported.

Students secured a variety of profiles across domains spanning the entire industrial spectrum including BFSI & IB, FMCG & pharma, manufacturing, conglomerates, and real estate, consulting and information technology, media and telecom, among others, the report added.

About 71 companies participated in the summer placement process. The report mentioned the institute saying in a press statement on Wednesday, “We hosted several Investment Banks and analytics agencies, some of which recruited exclusively from JBIMS." The report also quoted Prof Balkrishna Parab, the placement coordinator at JBIMS, as saying, "This year our focus was on making more diverse opportunities available to our students so that the multitude of interests of the students are adequately catered to."

"A great response from the industry as well as the high level of preparedness of the students has helped us in achieving this goal and delivering another hugely successful summer placement season," he added.
