IndiGo announced that the salaries of its pilots will be hiked from December 1, this year. This was announced before two new airlines, Tata-SIA and Air Asia, start their India operations early next year. IndiGo said that with the announcement of hike in pilot salaries, a monthly wage bill increase of 8-10 crores is expected.
