SBI is considering the technical feasibility of work from home options for women employees for some functions. The move is aimed to improve retention of women staff. The bank also has a two year sabbatical policy for women in case they want to use the time for children’s education. SBI’s women workforce accounts for only 20 per cent of the overall strength.
