Half of Indian employees stressed by work & personal finances

According to the findings of workspace provider, Regus, Indian professionals are getting more stressed. The firm has come out with a survey which reveals that stress levels of Indian professionals are on the rise with over 51 percent Indian professionals reporting a rise in stress levels over the past year. The Regus survey states that work and personal finances at 51 percent and 50 percent respectively are the contributing factors for the increased stress levels of the Indian workforce. Multiple factors such as work, personal finances, commuting to work as well as continuing instability in the world economy are thought to have fuelled the growing pressure among professionals and respondents stated that most stress triggers were of a professional rather than personal nature, with their job, personal finances and customers topping the list of causes. Nearly three quarters (72 percent) of Indian respondents identified flexible working as a way of cutting stress and more than half (56 percent) of respondents considered flexible work options are being more family friendly.
