Hero's Haridwar plant resumes

After three days of shutdown owing protests by workers, Hero’s Haridwar plant resumed operations. The workers were protesting against suspension of one of their colleagues and alleged high handedness by the company management. The leader of the union commented that several permanent workers were asked to give letter of undertaking about not involving in any kind of protest.  The union claims that many workers did not sign the letters and many were delivered suspension letters.
