India Inc look for ways to reward, retain key talent through bonuses
India Inc is rolling out bonuses this festive season ranging 10 percent to over 200 percent of basic pay. As a sense of maturity of compensation trends in India, the companies are rolling out bonuses with the objective of retaining star employees and maintaining steady revenue inflows. LG has decide to give 240-250 percent of the basic monthly as festive bonus while yet another Korean major Samsung will pay more than 200 percent. Mumbai based consumer goods company Mirc Electronics, plans to give a festive bonus of 20 percent to all its employees. For instance, Angle Broking, a broking firm which plans to pay a festive bonus of up to 16 percent will factor in the performance too and top achievers can expect to get more than 20 percent bonus.
Sectors like manufacturing, retail, auto and consumer goods will be the top payers of festival bonus while IT and BFSI companies will make high payouts.
