M&M employees resume work at Mohali plant

Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) Ltd today said a section of its employees who were not reporting to duties at the company’s tractor manufacturing plants at Mohali, Punjab, have resumed work with effect from May 8. The company, in a BSE filing, said “the matter was resolved amicably through mutual dialogue and the matter has also been withdrawn by them from the conciliation officer, Mohali.” On April 28, M&M had informed that a section of employees are not reporting to duties in a concerted manner. “Their demands are unjustified and the matter is in conciliation with the Labour Commissioner’s office,” the company had said in an earlier communication. “There was no production loss and all operations continued without any interruptions,” the company said.
